Policies

Play Time:​

Our playground is designed for children ages 0-10 years. Children under the age of 3 are welcome, but must be under one-on-one supervision of their parents, guardians, or caregiver at all times. To ensure fairness for all our guests, play time is offered in 1-hour or 2-hour sessions. The maximum playtime is limited to 2 hours; unfortunately, extended playtime is not available.

Behavioral Guidelines:​

At DREAMLAND, we prioritize a safe and respectful environment for everyone. We encourage children to play thoughtfully and use the equipment as intended. We do not allow any rough play or reckless behavior. Our staff is trained to guide children with positive strategies that help them develop self-regulation, so they can learn how to interact appropriately with others and their surroundings.

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Hitting, spanking, or any form of corporal punishment

• Restraining a child unless they pose harm to themselves or others

• Bullying behaviors such as name-calling, teasing, or exclusion

• Any form of aggressive or harmful behavior toward other children or staff

Strike Policy:​

We have a 3-strike policy for children exhibiting aggressive, disrespectful, or harmful behavior toward others. If a child/responsible receives 3 strikes, their account will be suspended. Parents will be notified immediately if any such incidents occur.

Health & Safety:​

DREAMLAND is a nut-free facility. To maintain a safe space, we ask that only water be brought into the play area. We encourage all visitors to bring a water bottle, to keep everyone hydrated.

Food & Drink Policy:​

For safety and cleanliness, no food or drinks, except water in a closed bottle, are permitted inside the play area. We kindly ask that you enjoy any snacks or meals in outside the play area

​

Illness Policy:​

To protect all guests and prevent the spread of illness, children showing symptoms of illness must stay home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours, without the use of medication. Symptoms include, but are not limited to:

• Unexplained pain, sore throat, runny nose, coughing, and fever

• Difficulty breathing, wheezing, or a persistent cough

• Infected skin or eyes, rashes, or diarrhea

• Any known contagious diseases, such as Hand Foot Mouth Disease, Pink Eye, or head lice

If your child shows any signs of illness during their visit, we ask that you pick them up as soon as possible to ensure the safety of others.

Head Lice Procedure:​

In the event of head lice, we ask that all parents check their child’s hair daily. If head lice are found outside of the facility, please notify us immediately. If discovered during a visit, parents will be contacted to pick up their child. After treatment, children may return to the facility. We will also inform other parents so they can take the necessary precautions.

Safe Release of Children Policy:​

To ensure the safety of all children, we provide wristbands to both parents and children at check-in. Parents must show the matching wristband at pick-up. If there are any custody restrictions, we will require authorization from the custodial parent before releasing the child to anyone else. 

Children must wear the wristband given at check-in. Parents must present the matching wristband at pick-up to ensure the safety and security of all guests. Our safeguarding procedures are in place to ensure a smooth and secure experience for everyone.

 

Incident Policy

​We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment. Therefore, no child under our care will be subjected to shoving, hitting, or other forms of physical harm. Our staff is trained to address any behavioral issues calmly and effectively, and children will not be separated from others unless supervised by a responsible adult.

Emergency & Disaster Plan​

DREAMLAND is equipped with an emergency plan in case of fire, earthquake, or other disasters. Our employees are trained in emergency procedures, including fire drills, CPR, and First Aid. Emergency exits are clearly marked, and communication systems are in place to notify parents should an emergency occur.

Power Outage & Snow Policies:​

In the event of a power outage or extreme weather conditions, such as heavy snowfall, we may need to close for safety reasons. We will inform parents promptly by social media if such a closure is necessary. If the power is out for more than 2 hours, we may ask parents to pick up their children early.

Facility Use & Pricing:​

• Parents & Me Program: 2 hours of play for $19 (includes one child and one adult, Monday-Friday). An additional parent may join for $5.

• Drop-N-Shop Program: 1 hour for $27 or 2 hours for $47, available Saturday and Sunday. Extra parents are welcome inside the play space for a fee of $5.

• Washroom Access: Washrooms are not available inside the facility for Parents & Me participants. Staff can guide you to the nearest public washroom. Children should not be left unattended in the play area. Parents are welcome to leave and return within the 2-hour playtime to use the restroom.

​Cleaning Protocol:​

At DREAMLAND, cleanliness is a top priority. Our cleaning procedures include daily sanitization of floors, surfaces, and toys. We use eco-friendly products to minimize environmental impact and ensure a safe play environment for all children. In addition, a professional cleaning service conducts a deep cleaning every week. Our cleaning protocols are designed to maintain a hygienic and enjoyable space for everyone.

• Daily cleaning tasks: Floors vacuumed, surfaces wiped, and carpets cleaned.

• Sanitizing schedule: High-touch areas, toys, and the ball pit are sanitized regularly.

• Staff training: Our team is trained in proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and effective use of cleaning products.

Temporary Playground Closure Policy:​

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, DREAMLAND may temporarily close if certain circumstances arise: 

• Full Capacity: To ensure safety in case of an emergency, we have a strict capacity limit of 25 children or 50 people total . Once we reach this limit, we cannot admit more guests until others leave. This protocol helps us keep everyone safe and able to evacuate quickly if needed.

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Kids can be unpredictable, and accidents happen! When an unexpected incident creates a hazard, we may close temporarily for thorough cleaning. Additionally, after very busy days, we sometimes close early to deep-clean all surfaces and play areas, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our next guests.

• Birthday Parties: Dreamland also hosts birthday parties, which may affect general availability. Our party packages reserve either 10 or 20 spots, leaving only a few additional spots open for other customers. On occasion, if extra guests arrive beyond the reserved count, we may reach full capacity sooner than expected.

 

​If necessary, the playground may be closed temporarily, or for the remainder of the day, to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to check for availability before planning your visit.

PLEASE NOTE: Some programs, such as Drop & Shop, may be impacted by staffing levels or shortages. At Dreamland, we maintain a staff-to-child ratio of 1 staff member for every 8 children. Please note that we do not provide one-on-one supervision or daycare services. We encourage you to carefully review our liability waiver before checking in and thoroughly read the program details on the respective page to ensure you fully understand the services offered.
